Govt. Primary & Middle Schools, Atharga and Belkanhalli

Provision of Benches:

Need Identified: Students lacked proper seating, leading to discomfort and reduced focus.
Intervention: Ergonomic benches were provided for students.
Impact: The initiative improved student concentration and engagement, fostering a comfortable learning environment.

Science Lab Equipment:

Need Identified:Hands-on learning resources in science were limited.
Intervention:Science labs were equipped with modern apparatus.
Impact:Students gained practical understanding and developed a curiosity for science, encouraging them to pursue careers in STEM (Science Technology Engineering Maths) fields.

Classroom Renovations:

Need Identified: Dilapidated classrooms hindered effective teaching and learning.
Intervention: Two classrooms were renovated, floors were repaired with tiles, and overall functionality was improved.
Impact: Safe, clean, and inspiring learning spaces were created for students and teachers.

Boundary Wall Painting and BaLA Designs:

Need Identified:Unsafe boundaries and uninspiring school aesthetics were concerns.
Intervention: Boundary walls were repaired and painted with Building as Learning Aid (BaLA) designs.
Impact: The initiative enhanced safety made the school visually engaging and supported informal learning through visual aids.

Installation of Green Boards:

Need Identified:Outdated teaching tools limited classroom interaction.
Intervention: Traditional blackboards were replaced with green boards.
Impact: Improved visibility and interactive teaching methods benefited both students and teachers.

The community development initiative undertaken by Fourth Partner Energy Private Limited (4PEL) has had a significant and positive impact on the lives of 488 children and 23 teachers.

Govt. Primary School & Anganwadi Centre, Kovilpatti

Infrastructure Repairs:

Need Identified: Structural damage to school buildings posed safety concerns.
Intervention: Broken boundary walls, roofs, and flooring were repaired with durable materials.
Impact: These repairs ensured safety and longevity of the school infrastructure, providing a conducive environment for learning.

Sanitation Facilities:

Need Identified: Inadequate sanitation facilities discouraged attendance, especially among girls.
Intervention: Toilets for boys, girls, and teachers were repaired, and additional urinals were constructed.
Impact: Improved hygiene and reduced absenteeism, particularly for female students and helped to improve the academic performance.

Provision of RO Water Facility:

Need Identified: Lack of safe drinking water led to health issues.
Intervention: RO systems and water storage tanks were installed.
Impact: Students and staff gained access to clean drinking water, improving their overall health and well-being.

Library and Learning Materials:

Need Identified: Limited access to books and teaching materials hindered academic growth.
Intervention: Libraries with storybooks, maps, and teaching-learning aids were established.
Impact: The initiative fostered reading habits and improved educational outcomes for students.

Anganwadi Centre:

Need Identified: Early childhood education lacked essential resources.
Intervention: Age-appropriate tables, BaLA painting to the classrooms, mats, chairs, indoor games, books, and a ramp for accessibility were provided.
Impact: A nurturing environment for toddlers was created, supporting their physical, cognitive, and social development.

The community development initiative undertaken by Fourth Partner Energy Private Limited (4PEL) has had a significant and positive impact on the lives of: 71 children & 4 teachers & 22 Anganwadi children and 1 teacher.
